Thursday evening at about 6 o'clock, Hungarian Hill was the scene of a lively shooting and cutting affray in which John Harris was cut about the throat and shot in one leg, Ellis Pullen was shot in one leg and Spero Yavonaff was cut about the body.
About six weeks ago two brothers, Spero and Manuel Yavonaff, Bulgarians, opened a pool room in the Hill brick. Residents say the place has been a beer canning hang out for all nationalities. Fights have been a part of the regular program.
After a season of 'canning' yesterday, a fight started which resulted in the above recorded casualties.
