(Bonne Terre Register, Fri. May 3, 1907)
BILL DOOLEY DYING.
-------------------
Bill Dooley, who figured in the Dooley-Harris feud of this county and shot and killed one of the Harris boys on a passenger coach at Rock Springs, is dying of consumption at State Hospital No. 4.  After his capture he was adjudged insane and committed to No. 4.   We saw him last Sunday lying on a cot in the Hospital Infirmary, wasted and worn away, too weak to take much notice of anything and certainly near the end.  He may live a week, possibly linger on for several weeks, and if any of his family care to see him alive it would be well for them not to delay.
NOTE:  Circuit Court News published in the Bonne Terre Register on June 28, 1907, reported the following: "death of defendant suggested and [murder] case dismissed."
