METHODIST CHURCH OF DESLOGE

The Desloge Methodist Church was organized in 1893 with the following charter members: Albert J. Clay, Mrs. Fannie J. Clay, Mrs. Angeline Brim, Mrs. Nancy Randolph, Mrs. Fannie Brown. In 1925 the present church was erected at a cost of $8,500. The church now boasts of a membership of 326, with an average attendance last year of 92. There are 271 children and adults in the Sunday School.

Since the organization of the church the following pastors have served: Revs. P. H. Roberts, L. D. Nichol, A. R. Williams, J. A. Collins, W. J. Velsick, T. M. Jackson, Arthur Trotter, George Walker, J. W. Ham, Madison Combs, J. R. Davis, S. A. Bennett, Linus Baker, J. C. McDaniels, D. I. Morrison, Herbert Gibb, H. P. Crowe, I. C. Bradsher, the present pastor being Rev. H. W. Doss.
