Rev. George T. Lunsford of Park Hills was in the 1678 MM/558 Air Material of the Army Air Corp and served in India and the Pacific. 

He went into the service from Farmington. 

"Part of my duties were as an auto mechanic trainer, truck driver, shipping, receiving and supply.  I was authorized to visit any gun turret aboard ship.  I crossed the equator and also the International Date Line," he wrote.
