James L. Wright (deceased) was a Sergeant with the U.S. Army, 1st Cavalry Division, 7th Regiment, during World War II, serving in Asiatic Pacific Theatre and Japan.  Elizabeth Wright says she has memorabilia from the war, including a letter signed by Harry Truman thanking her husband for answering the call of his country and pictures of devastation in Japan.
