LEROY L. EDGAR

Leroy L. Edgar served with a rank of T5 with the U.S. Army attached to the Navy.  He was a seaman in the 339th Harbor Craft Company and served in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theatre. 

He supervised seamen in the operation of a 100-ton diesel electric floating crane which loaded and unloaded tanks, locomotives and other heavy equipment from liberty ships. 

He was awarded one bronze star for the Rhineland Battle and received a Good Conduct medal.
