KILLED IN ACTION WHILE ON BOMBING MISSION JULY 14TH

     Mr. and Mrs. Carson Pryor, Buckley Street, St. Francois, were notified this week that their son, Sergt. Morris (Eddie) Pryor, was killed in action while on a bombing mission over France on July 14th.

     The parents had been previously notified that he was missing in action.

 
     Eddie was 19 years of age. He enlisted at Jefferson Barracks on June 6, 1942. He received his training in Utah and Spokane, Wash., and was sent over-seas on June first of this year.

     He was a tail gunner on a Flying Fortress, and had received an air medal for bravery in action.
