Otis A. Williams served as a Sergeant in the Army's 312th Field Artillery, 79th Division in Europe.  He had a brother, Cpl. Willard J. Williams, who also served in the war.

A newspaper article in the paper said the brothers met for just one half hour "somewhere in France."   Willard had been confined to a hospital for three months in England, after being injured in the Normandy invasion.  

Both boys were inducted into the army on June 8, 1942 and were in camp together during initial training in the states.
