GEORGE KIDD KILLED IN JOPLIN MINES.

    George Kidd, a former Bonne Tere boy and son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kidd, was killed in a shaft in the Joplin lead district, the first of the week. Mr. Kidd was being lowered or drawn from the shaft in a bucket and in some way lost his balance and fell, which resulted in instant death. He was 23 years of age and had been married only a few months. He leaves his wife to survive, who was formerly an Esther girl, also his remains were brought to Bonne Terre for burial Wednesday.

FORMER B. T. BOY KILLED.

    Geo. Kidd was killed at Carthage, Mo. the first of the week and his body was brought to Bonne Terre to the home of his brother Roy on Wednesday and the funeral was held from there at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock.

    He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kidd of St. Louis who with his wife, four brothers and four sisters survive him.
