ELVINS MAN ELECTROCUTED AT ST. JOSEPH LEAD CO. SHAFT
THURSDAY NIGHT

George Schuler, of Elvins, employed as operator of an electric shovel underground at St. Joseph Lead Co. shaft No. 9, was electrocuted while on duty Thursday night. It appears that in some manner the motor on the shovel had become grounded. Mr. Schuler stepped off the motor. When he stepped on again he took hold of an iron bar and got the full force of the current. He was instantly killed.

Mr. Schuler had made his home in Elvins for a number of years. He is survived by his wife and four children. Arrangements for the funeral had not yet been made at the time we went to press.
