UNDERGROUND WORKMAN KILLED BY FALLING ROCK.
Bonne Terre Register, Bonne Terre, St. Francois County, Missouri, Friday, Feb. 27, 1914.

Peter Grochte, a Russian who had been working here in the mines about a year, was killed underground near Shaft No. 6 of St. Joe Tuesday night by falling back. It is said that the loose rock fell a distance of about forty feet killing him instantly. He was a young man and unmarried.
