 VIRGIL D. ADAMS

     Virgil D. (Flitter) Adams, 6 Stone St., Flat River, retired from the St. Joseph Lead Co., Nov. 1 of this year. He was employed by the Lead Co. in 1920 and worked as a loader in the mining department, in 1926 he transferred to the accounting department as a clerk. He became mine supply clerk and salvage man in the stores record department in 1928. Then he worked as a traveling storekeeper in 1964 and continued to retirement.

     On April 18, 1931 he was married to Tessie Barton. He is a gunsmith and operates a workshop from his home address. He owns and operates an 80-acre farm near Lodi, Mo., which will occupy a great deal of his time during retirement.
