McDowell's Celebrate 50th

J.T. and Joann (Snyder) McDowell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 3, 2006. They were married in 1956 at Farview Baptist Church in Farmington. J.T. served in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic, was employed at McDonald Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis, and was employed as a truck driver for Barnard Sail Service.

Joann recently retired from the Circuit Court, Probate Division of St. Francois County as probate division clerk after 38 years of service.

The McDowells are members of First Baptist Church of Farmington, both being active in teaching Sunday School for several years, singing in the choir and serving in other capacities. Both are active in volunteer services and community projects.

The McDowells have two children, Rick McDowell and wife Mary of Bonne Terre, and Donna Callihan of Brandon, Florida; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

The couple celebrated with a trip to Branson on June 3 and the family is planning a special anniversary celebration dinner for the occasion.
