TORNADO DAMAGE
REPORTED |
At the C. F. Henrich farm on Elvins Route 1, a barn was destroyed. The barn was full of baled hay, which was strewn in every direction, and several head of cattle were housed in the structure, but none of the animals were lost. A few miles distant, at the farm home of their son, Paul Henrich, Ironton Route 1, several large trees were uprooted, but no property damage occurred. At the Herman Heck farm, south of Farmington, a combination chicken house and machine shed were completely destroyed, and three large barns had damaged roofs and doors. The twister also struck buildings on the Roscoe Brune farm, unroofed the residence of Anderson Lee on Route H, where a wall within the house was moved, Mr. Lee stated. The J. O. McKinney home near Knob Lick was also unroofed by the tornado, which apparently continued down Highway 67 toward Fredericktown. |
