Assembly of God Church

The Assembly of God Church was organized November 20, 1929, with 22 charter members. The first pastor was Rev. E. D. Cockman, and Dorothy Abney was the first Secretary and Treasurer.

Following Rev. Cockman as pastor were Rev. Harry Jenkins, Rev. George Fry, Rev. J. H. O'Dell, Rev. James Odum, and the present pastor, Rev. Charles Leathers.

The church's original frame building was later torn away, to be replaced by another frame building. In later years, brick facing was added to this building, along with an educational building.
