WOMAN MORE THAN CENTURY OLD DIES IN LEADWOODMrs. Lucinda Hobbs died at the home of her son-in-law in Leadwood last Saturday night at the age of 100 years, 10 months. She was born August 13, 1812 (a little more than a year before Commodore Perry destroyed the English fleet on Lake Erie), where the town of Elvins now stands. She was 8 years old when Missouri became a state and was 49 years old when the civil war broke out. In 1831 she married David Murphy, who died in 1834. In 1856 she married Vince Hobbs.
