PERRY A. HOFFMAN*, Democrat,
Representative from Washington County; born at Bonne Terre [St. Francois County], Mo.,
September 27, 1885; educated in the public schools of Caledonia, Mo., Bellevue Collegiate
Institute, Caledonia, and Southeast Missouri State Teachers College, Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was married November 1, 1930, at Caledonia to Miss Frances DREW and they have one son,
Charles Elwin. Is a merchant and farmer and resides at Caledonia. He saw military service
with the 12th Company, California National Guards. He comes from a family long active in
Democratic politics. Re-elected to the House of Representatives in 1938, after having
served in the 59th General Assembly, he was named chairman of the Mines and Mining
Committee of the 60th General Assembly, and also served as a member of the following
committees: Accounts; Education; Constitutional Amendments; Commerce and Manufactories;
Roads and Highways; Fish and Game. |
