U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. Trevor L. Spink Jr.'s family was very proud of the fact that Trevor was chosen as the "Face of the U.S. Marine Corps" from 1996-2000. He was chosen based on his looks and his attitude. His photo was used in recruitment ads for the U.S. Marine Corps.
