CHURCH OF GOD |
|
The first Church of God in Esther was oganized in the
early 1930's. According to the book St. Francois County Looking Back by
David Darnell, the first church building, which was located across the Koen Creek Bridge
in Esther, Missouri, was used as a tavern before being converted into a church. A
beautiful granite church building (pictured below) was dedicated at this same location in
1935, and still exists today. As of November, 2003, approximately 70-85 people
attend church there each Sunday. |
