Report of the Lead Belt Lodge No. 353, Knights of Pythias, shows the year just closed to be one of the best since it was instituted in March 1903. During the year 1940, there were 58 new members initiated and 22 reinstated, making a total of 80 for the year.
The following officers were elected Monday night for the ensuing year:
Dewey Kennedy - chancellor commander
Basil Starkey - vice chancellor
Glenwood Lees - prelate
Paul J. Clay - master of work
Raymond Carr - keeper of records and seals
Henry Bell - master of finance
Ariel Gerstenschlager - master of exchequer
Walter Radford - master of arms
Edgar Thorpe - inner guard
George Thurman - outer guard
