��� In the past four months 48 of St. Francois County's young men have joined the army. Fourteen of them are from the Lead Belt. They are:

Leonard - Desloge - Air Corps, Jefferson Barracks Harold G. Huff - Leadington - Air Corps, Jefferson Barracks Eddie Henson - Leadington - Air Corps, Jefferson Barracks Clyde J. Dalton - Cantwell - Air Corps, Jefferson Barracks Tommy E. DeGrant - Elvins - Air Corps, Jefferson Barracks Joseph C. Harvey - Elvins - Corps Area Ser. Comm., J.B. James L. Meadows - Elvins - Corps Area Ser. Comm., J.B.
They were enlisted by Sgt. Rogers of the Army Recruiting Service, who has his station at Farmington, Mo. Sgt. Rogers says he has ten openings for the Air Corps, and expects to have them filled in a week.
