JAMES BEQUETTE

Medford Del Bequette of Bonne Terre entered service Jan. 15, 1943 and was discharged March 6, 1946.  He served with the 3164th Ordnance Base Artillery in the European Theatre of Operations.  He received the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with one Bronze Star and three overseas bars. 

While in France he was privileged to be able to visit with his brother, Homer Bequette, Jr., also stationed nearby.

 Mr. Bequette died Nov. 19, 1986.  This information was submitted by his widow, Maxine Bequette Cole.

 MEDFORD (MUFF) BEQUETTE
Medford Del Bequette, 64, of Farmington [St. Francois County, Mo.], died Nov. 29 [1986] at Farmington Community Hospital. He was born Nov. 7, 1922 in Bonne Terre to the late Homer C. and Stella Major Bequette.

Mr. Bequette was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington and the Farmington Elks Lodge No. 1765. During World War II he served as a staff sergeant in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Bequette of Farmington, one daughter, Nancy (Mrs. Mike) Wamble, of St. Louis; one son, David Bequette of St. Louis; one daughter-in-law; one son-in-law; two brothers: Homer Bequette of Green Valley, Ariz., and Vurlin Bequette of Bonne Terre and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at 3 p.m. today at the Cozean Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Farmington with Dr. William Miller officiating. Burial will be in Three Rivers Cemetery.

If desired, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Farmington.
