THREE ELVINS BOYS JOIN FIFTH MISSOURI INFANTRY

Frank Carr, Wm. Reichert and Clyde McGuire of Elvins have successfully passed the physical examination for enlistment in the hospital corps of the Fifth Missouri Infantry. They were summoned to St. Louis the latter part of last week. They returned home in the uniform of their regiment and have been told to hold themselves in readiness for immediate call. The regiment is scheduled to leave St. Louis for training quarters August 5. However the plans are subject to change and they may leave at an earlier date.
