George James Carrow, now deceased, entered the U.S. Army on Aug. 20, 1942.  He was a member of Battery C 533rd AAA (AW) BN. Anti-aircraft where he served as a fire control instrument operator. 

He was in Rome-Arno, Central Europe and Rhineland campaigns.  He was awarded 4 Bronze Stars for the campaigns and a Good Conduct Medal. 

He was discharged from the service on October 29, 1945. 

This information was submitted by his wife Mrs. Carrow of Bonne Terre who he married while in the service.
