George James Carrow, now deceased, entered the
U.S. Army on Aug. 20, 1942. He was a member of
Battery C 533rd AAA (AW) BN. Anti-aircraft where he served as a fire control instrument
operator.
He was in Rome-Arno, Central Europe and
Rhineland campaigns. He was awarded 4 Bronze
Stars for the campaigns and a Good Conduct Medal.
He was discharged from the service on October
29, 1945.
