IWO JIMA MARINE
He had entered the service in May of 1944 and was 19 years old when he was killed in the invasion of the island.
Crepps graduated from Esther high School
in 1944. He was a member of the Esther Baptist
Church. He left the week after his graduation
for Marine training. He returned home only
once and that was in October.
His mother, Elizabeth, lives in Park Hills.
