LIEUT. WM. ELLIOT HAS RETURNED TO FLAT RIVER

Wm. Elliot, who was formerly in the employ of the Federal Lead Company, in the engineering department, unexpectedly returned to Flat River, Wednesday noon.

Shortly after war was declared, with Germany, he enlisted in the officer's training corps. He was in the training camps here for several months, and received a commission as lieutenant. He was an artillery officer.

Soon after he received his commission, he sailed for France, where he was in action for several months. He was sent back to the United States with his company, in January, but was only recently mustered out of the army.

He has many friends here who gladly welcome him back. It is supposed that he intends to again make his home here.
