PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH HOLDS MEMORIAL SERVICES
FOR BOYS OF FLAT RIVER KILLED IN WORLD WAR

The memorial services at the Presbyterian church last Sabbath were attended by a good audience of people who were pleased in that way to honor the memory of the boys of Flat River who made the sacrifice of their lives for the freedom of the world, whose bodies are buried in Flander's Field. A short obituary notice was read of each of the five boys, as follows:

John Lewis Bradley, born in Iron Mountain, Mo., died in Germany, February 23, 1919.

Frank Tucker, born at Odessa, Russia, killed in France, June 3, 1918.

William Gallagher, born in Warren, Colorado, killed in France, September 26, 1918.

Coleman P. Frazier, born in Doe Run, killed in France, September 27, 1918.

Lieut. Richardson Ferguson Kirkpatrick, born in Knoxville, Tenn., killed in France, October 15, 1918.

Lieut. Kirkpatrick was affiliated with the Presbyterian church of this place during his residence in Flat River, and was remembered by the church with special interest, a star having been placed in the service Flag of the church for him.

Dr. Stophlet, the pastor, paid a tribute to the glorious services of the boys for this community and for the world.

Mrs. Calud Bair sang very sweetly "The Boys Who Won't Come Back." "Rest Soldier, Rest," was impressively rendered by Misses Irene Goff and Edith Hammack. Taps was sounded by Boy Scout Clarence Fraysher.

Published by THE LEAD BELT NEWS, Flat River, St. Francois Co. MO, July 4, 1919.
