SHERWOOD REED

Sherwood Reed, of Long Beach, MS was a Master Sergeant with the U.S. Army's 29th Infantry Division during World War Two.  He served in the European Theater.

According to G. Mabel Reed, Desloge, Sherwood Reed was involved in the invasion of France, landing at Omaha Beach on D+2 (two days after D-Day).

He was one of five sons of the late John and Rosie Reed of Leadwood who served in World War II.
