The remains of Pfc. Rolla Bradley, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Bradley of near Bismarck, will arrive in Bismarck on Thursday, September 6, at 7:35 p.m. and will lie in state at the Shipman-Sparks Funeral Chapel in Bismarck until 2 p.m. Saturday, September 8. Services will be held from the Bismarck Methodist Church with interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with military honors.

Pfc. Bradley enlisted with the Marine Corps on May 14, 1943, and served with the 23rd Marines, Fourth Division, in the South Pacific area in World War II, taking part in four major battles, Marshall Islands, Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received on Tinian, and was killed in the initial landing on Iwo Jima on February 19, 1945.
