SEVENTY PER CENT OF MEN EXAMINED FIRST TWO DAYS, CLAIM EXEMPTION

The Examining Board at Farmington are swamped with work examining the hundreds of men who have been summoned to appear before them. Up until Thursday night 400 men had passed through the hands of the examining physicians, Drs. T. L. Haney, F. M. Braning, W. D. Sample, John G. Turley and T. L. Hodges.

Exact figures could not be obtained in time for publication this week, but of the 400 examined, more than 70 per cent have claimed exemption. The Government has served notice that all claims for exemption will be appealed. 130 men out of the 200 examined Wednesday claimed exemption. The proportion on Thursday was about the same.
