James Earl Straughn of Bismarck served in
the U.S. Army during World War II, serving as a T/H Radio Operator in "B"
Company, 386th Regiment, 97th Division serving in the European Theatre and the South
Pacific.
Straughn recalls no particular story from
his war years. "An experience I will
never forget and one I never want to see or live through again," he said.
