Jimmie R. Yeargain of 708 Dewey of Farmington was a member of Co's H and S of the 312 Engineering of the 87th Inf. Division of Patton's 3rd Army.  He was Tec 5.

He was inducted at Jefferson Barracks in February 1943.  He did his training at Camp McCain in Mississippi.  He went overseas in November 1944 and went into the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944.  He helped build pontoon bridges across the Moselle.

After V-E Day he returned to the states and was ready to go to the Pacific when V-J Day came.  He was discharged in January 1946.
