The following letter is an exact replica of a letter which P. J. [Phillip Jefferson] Bible wrote to William Stone Family in 1868, and which was published in the Lead Belt News of Flat River, St. Francois County, Missouri, on May 12, 1977.   Mr. and Mrs. William Stone were the grandparents of Floyd Counts who contributed the letter to the newspaper.

Note:  We were informed by a Bible family researcher that the newspaper had the name of the sender of the above letter wrong.   Sender was not T. J. Bible, but P. J. Bible [Phillip Jefferson Bible].
