GUS O. NATIONS VISITED
BONNE TERRE BOOTLEGGERS.

G. O. Nations, of St. Louis, Federal Prohibition Agent, with the assistance of a corps of deputies, made a number of raids with resultant arrests at Bonne Terre, Friday.  The following account was taken from the Saturday morning's Globe Democrat:

"A dry law enforcement expedition sent out yesterday to Bonne Terre, Mo., by Prohibition Agent Nations, resulted in the arrest of seven saloon proprietors and bartenders and the issuance of a warrant for the arrest of another.

The seven arrested were placed in the County Jail at Farmington, and will be brought to St. Louis for arraignment today.  George Wallace, a bartender for Bart [Bert] Thurman, who was not in Thurman's saloon at the time of the raid, was being sought last night.

The names of the men arrested are:  Charles Godat, saloon keeper, and his bartenders, Herbert Vandnovier [Vandiver ?] and Walter Politte; John Craft and Aldon Craft, saloon keepers, and their bartender, Alonzo Long; Bart [Bert] Thurman, a saloon keeper.

All except Godat and his bartenders are charged with illegal sale and possession of liquor and maintenance of nuisances.  No liquor was found in Godat's saloon.
