OFFICERS RAID FRANK VALLO'S PLACE
IN BONNE TERRE

About 1:30 a.m., July 12th, Officer Doss and Deputies Laws and Southern conducted a raid on Frank Vallo's place in Bonne Terre in which they got two pints of whisky and a quantity of home brew.

A fourth party was used by the officers in conducting the raid, this member of the party entering the place and purchasing liquor with marked bills which were later found in the cash register when the raid was made.

Vallo was taken before Justice of the Peace Marchand, of Bonne Terre, and was released on $1000.00 bond for his appearance at the preliminary hearing, the date of which has not been set at time of going to press.

A few more such raids will tend to improve matters in the Lead Belt.
