WOMAN SUICIDES --- The Bismarck and Charlestone passenger train was flagged Tuesday morning about a mile north of Knoblick and it was discovered that the remains of a woman had been found scattered along the track. Investigation made showed that Mrs. Beula Acuff of Knoblick, aged about 55, had, in a fit of temporary insanity, burned her home and a few moments later committed suicide by throwing herself under a moving freight train. The body was horribly mangled, portions of it being scattered along the track, while the wheels and rods bore ghastly evidences of the tragedy as far north as Bismarck where the car inspectors found them. We are informed that the unfortunate woman was subject to temporary attacks of insanity and had been an inmate of the insane asylum, having been adjudged insane by the county court in July, 1905, but was soon after released. |
