TROOPS TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM LEAD BELT

Washington, D.C., March 13 -- The War Department announced this afternoon that it has ordered immediate withdrawal of troops stationed in the lead belt during the Flat River riots last spring. The withdrawal was asked by Representative Hensley and Senator Stone, who assured the department that all danger of race rioting has long since passed and continued quartering of soldiers in the district was resented by the inhabitants.
