The Class of 1949-50 held graduation on May 18, 1950, with 32 seniors graduating.  Mr. J. W. Sarff was Superintent of Schools.  Mr. George S. Pallo was Principal, and Dean Charles Bess of Flat River Junior College was the speaker.   This class marked George Pallo's first year as principal.   This class was the first to have a 7 day class trip.  They went to Jackson, Mississippi, Pensacola, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Vicksburg, Mississippi.   The class sponsors were Miss Jones, Miss Watts, and Mr. Pallo.  They had a hostess, Ms. Andrews, a nurse, and "Sonny", a great bus driver. This class put up the first street signs in Esther and also numbered the houses.  Some of the guys joined the service after graduation.  Others worked awhile before entering the service.   They had about every branch of service represented.  Classmate Darrell Boren worked on the Mercury Project for the John Glenn flight.
