MARTHA LOU ALLEN RITES TO BE THURSDAY.

Martha Lou Allen died Tuesday morning, May 3 [1966] in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grace Rowe, 202 Wilson Street, Flat River. She was born November 17, 1871 in Ste. Genevieve County, daughter of the late Arthur Marion Smith and Mary Ann Ferguson Smith.

In 1899 she was united in marriage to James F. Wallace and to this union five children were born. Mr. Wallace died in 1903. In 1918 she married J. A. Allen. He preceded her in death as did two daughters, Mrs.(?) Mamie Wallace and Mrs. Nellie Wallace Rabaduex.

Surviving are two sons: Oscar, Detroit, Mich.; James Arthur, Jefferson City, one daughter, Mrs. Grace Rowe, Flat River; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two half sisters, Mrs. Ollie Thomasson, Flat River and Mrs. Ella Deutsch of Desloge, and half brother, Charles Smith of Michigan.

Mrs. Allen had many interests in life. She loved her church and for over 50 years was a member of Rebecca Lodge 204 of Flat River. Rebecca services were held at 8 p.m. Wednesday night.

Mrs. Allen lived a long and useful life and will be missed by her loving family and her many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 5, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Virgil Vaughn officiating. Interment in St. Francois Memorial Park under direction of Murphy Sparks Funeral Home.

Mrs. Leo F. Smith passed away Saturday, July 11, 1936 at her home on Farmington Route Three, aged 62 years and 4 months. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the Free Will Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Jas. F. Miller. Interment was in the Woodlawn cemetery.

Easter Hinkle, daughter of the late Lewis and Lavinia Hinkle was born March 11, 1874, at Lawrenceton, Missouri. She was united in marriage on March 19, 1902 to Leo F. Smith, who survives. She also leaves three children, Bessie of Carbondale, Illinois; Jesse of Flat River, and Franklin at home; two step-children, Emmett Smith of Flat River and Genevieve (Mrs. S.D.) Blaylock of Decatur, Alabama; eight grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. N.R. Ramsey of Farmington Route 3 and two brothers, Gideon Hinkle of Cantwell and Bert Hinkle of Bonne Terre.
She joined the Methodist Church when 19 years of age and lived a devoted Christian life.
