DOE RUN NEWS:

Helen HULSEY was delightfully surprised with a birthday party Wednesday evening.

W. E. SMITH spent Thursday in St. Louis on business.

E. J. SILVEY spent Wednesday here visiting friends and relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. A. G. HUPP spent from Friday until Sunday in St. Louis visiting at the home
of Mr. HUPP's brother, Royal HUPP.

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde CALL of Flat River, spent from Friday until Sunday at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Thos. PARKS.

Mr. and Mrs. William SCHUTZIUS and son, Billy of St. Louis, spent over Labor Day with 
Mr. and Mrs. B. L. HAYNES.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer BESS of Farmington, moved here last week.  

Mrs. B. L. HAYNES spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. SILVEY of Desloge.

Mr. and Mrs. Murrill PIRTLE of Farmington, were six o'clock dinner guests of Mr. and
Mrs. E. A. RABY.

Misses Mary and Alice BREWSTER spent Wednesday and Thursday in Farmington with friends.

Marvin WEISS spent Tuesday here.

Mr. and Mrs. Emory CARVER spent over Labor Day with Mr. and Mrs. Jim CARVER.

W. E. SMITH spent Saturday in Bonne Terre with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. C. SMITH.

A group of young people spent last Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Everett
DIETZLER.  The affair was in honor of Ruth and Muriel PIRTLE as they left Friday for
California.  Refreshments of cake, sandwiches and coffee were served.

Harry BREWSTER of St. Louis visited from Saturday until Monday with Mary and Alice 
BREWSTER.
