Clyde McGUIRE, who is attending the St. Louis School of Pharmacy, spent a couple of 
days here with homefolks last week.

John HIPES of Bonne Terre was among our shoppers last Monday.

J. N. RICHARDS transacted business in Potosi the last of the week.

Mrs. RICHARDSON last week sold her property on Main street to Thos. NICHOLSON.

Leon SCOWDEN of Cornwall visited friends and relatives here Saturday and Sunday.

John THOMURE and Jesse BOYER of Desloge transacted business in Elvins last Friday and
Saturday.

Frank BYINGTON has gone to Webb City where he has purchased a saloon, known as the
Frisco Bar.

Walter and F. SMITH departed for Arkansas, the first of last week, where they will 
make their home.

Mrs. Joe GOULD, who has been visiting with her daughter at Eureka, returned to her 
home last Thursday.

Geo. LANGDON has removed his furniture store into the Silsby brick which he purchased
a half interest in last week.

YOUNT & DALTON of Patton have opened a Cafe in the Silsby brick.  They have a nice
clean place and stock and cater to the wishes of their patrons in a most pleasing 
manner.

Miss Ethel CROSS of Eureka visited her mother and other relatives and friends during
the Thanksgiving holidays of last week.  Miss Ethel is teacher of the Eureka school.

J. MAGIDSON, one of the leading dry goods merchants of Leadwood, spent Sunday with 
his brother-in-law, H. A. MILLER.  Mr. MAGIDSON left Elvins Monday for St. Louis to 
buy a lot of new goods.

The revival meeting which has been in progress during the past three weeks at the 
M. E. church, closed last Sunday night with 158 conversions; and 141 additions to 
the church.  Evangelist McPHEETERS and Rev. R. L. GRAY deserve much credit for the
good work they have accomplished.
