Dr. G. W. TIDWELL is numbered with the sick this week.

Cashier E. J. FRANCIS spent Wednesday night in Bonne Terre on business.

Alex THOMURE of Desloge attended business at Elvins Thursday morning of this week.

Atty. F. A. BENHAM of Farmington transacted business here the latter part of the
week.

Carr HARTSHORN and W. C. REECE motored to St. Louis the first of the week, returning
Wednesday night.

Geo. LANGDON has just received and unloaded a large consignment of furniture.  He
now has his new store rooms jammed from the basement to garret.

Mrs. Geo. W. HOWELL gave a social party to the Teachers' Training Class of the M. E.
Church, South, and their friends, Tuesday.  A pleasant time was had at games, and
some excellent music was rendered.  Refreshments were served.

Last Saturday night a birthday party was held at the home of Miss Anna ROSS in honor
of Miss Sylvia WHITE, of Fredericktown, who has been her guest for the past several
days.  Good music and interesting games were enjoyed.  Miss WHITE was the recipient
of many beautiful presents.
