The first quarterly conference of this year for the Hickory Grove circuit will be
held at Hickory Grove Church Jan. 2, conducted by the Rev. A. C. JOHNSON, presiding elder of the Farmington District. Mrs. J. N. WELLS, who is on the sick list, is some better at this writing. The Alfred GIBSON children, who are ill with scarlet fever, are better at this writing. Mr. and Mrs. Paul O'BRIEN of Desloge, were visitors on this route Monday. J. W. TALLEY of Caledonia, was a business visitor on the route this week. Mr. and Mrs. Earl RICE and little daughter of Caledonia, visited homefolks here the past Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. WALKER and Miss Pauline were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe GIBSON of Desloge, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Leath DALTON and little daughter of Esther and Mr. and Mrs. Sheridan DALTON of Bonne Terre, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles DALTON, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray STRINGER of St. Louis, spent Sunday here with the latter's aunt, Mrs. Lee BERKLEY and Mr. BERKLEY. Alfred BOYER and Mrs. Wilburn FRAZER and sons, Warren and Norvell of Festus, visited Sunday with Mrs. Dora THURMAN of this route. Hershel SMITH of Jefferson Barracks, spent Sunday with homefolks here. Mr. and Mrs. James HOLLAND of Salem, Herbert HOLLAND and Miss Virginia SMITH of this route, Mr. and Mrs. Tom RUBOTTOM and baby of St. Louis; Miss Essie RUBOTTOM, Mr. and Mrs. Bell MUELLER and children and Mr. and Mrs. Bill RUBOTTOM were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin McHENRY, Sunday. Miss Jennie AUBUCHON of Detroit, is spending the week with her mother, Mrs. B. AUBUCHON. Her brother, Herbert and Paul AUBUCHON of Bonne Terre, visited them on Sunday, also. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert CUNNINGHAM of near Farmington, visited Mr. and Mrs. C. CUNNINGHAM, Sunday. |
