Mrs. John WHITE of Potosi visited her mother, Mrs. Jane J. RASNICK at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. RASNICK and family from Wednesday to Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold LAWSON of St. Francois bought the property of Pebble FORSHEE and have moved in. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde SURINA bought the John COMPTON property where Mr. and Mrs. Albert BOWEN live; will move in as soon as they vacate. Mrs. Sam BROWN passed away Sunday afternoon at the Bonne Terre Hospital. Miss Betty Jean GLORE spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday with her sister, Mrs. Floyd HULSEY of Leadwood. Mrs. Freddie WILSON and children of Elvins visited Mr. and Mrs. Leslie WILSON and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Theo. GLORE was a caller at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delno PRICE, Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. SMITH of St. Louis visited over the week end with the latter's mother, Mrs. Jane J. RASNICK and Mr. and Mrs. J. G. RASNICK and Mr. and Mrs. Norman SMITH and son. Mrs. J. J. RASNICK celebrated her 83rd birthday Sunday at the home of her son, J. G. RASNICK and family. Wm. [William] POUCHER of St. Louis spent the week end with his family here. Mrs. Arthur POUCHER and sons and mother, Mrs. Clarice DAVIS of St. Louis, spent a few days here with relatives. Jewel Edgar LAWSON returned Thursday to a camp in Texas after a furlough here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther LAWSON and relatives. Darrell GLORE, Freddie LAWSON, Francis HARRINGTON and Tommy DRUMMOND attended the Rodeo near Bismarck. Mrs. Floyd HULSEY and son of Leadwood, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. GLORE and little son were Sunday dinner guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Price GLORE and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bob WRIGHT, Mr. and Mrs. Amos LANDERS and family of Illinois visited Mr. and Mrs. Elmer HORTON and family. Mrs. Lena ASH and little son, Mrs. J. W. WHITE of Potosi, visited her sister, Mrs. Price GLORE Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert ROSS and little daughter, Ruby Laverne of St. Louis, spent the week end with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John BENOIST and family. Mrs. Delmar MAYBERRY and daughter, Miss Pauline TALLEY, were visiting in Desloge Saturday afternoon. Pvt. Pete BOBBETT of Texas is spending his furlough here with his wife and children. Mr. and Mrs. Sam TAYLOR are improving their home with white shingles. Mr. and Mrs. Lovell GILLIAM are having their two story house remodeled into a four room flat. |
