LEADWOOD NOTES:

W. E. EATON spent Christmas with Bonne Terre friends.

J. Adam KARSCH was visiting in Festus Christmas day.

Mr. Ed VOGT, of Bonne Terre, was seen on our streets Christmas day.

E. C. DEATHRIDGE and family are visiting in the state of Arkansas this week.

On Christmas Day Arthur WILSON, of Rivermines, took dinner with his parents here.

U. S. G. EVANS, Farmington, was in Leadwood Monday on business.

Mr. and Mrs. C. H. KIRKPATRICK were visitors in Bonne Terre the last part of last week.

C. E. CAMPBELL and wife, of Chaffee, Mo., visited with J. F. POSTON and family Chrismas.

Harry JACKSON, principal of the High School at Bismarck, was a Christmas visitor in
Leadwood.

James BLUNT, of Desloge, spent Sunday here visiting relatives.

Miss Eva DEATHRIDGE, of Desloge, visited relatives and friends in Leadwood Thursday of last week.

G. E. GUNNETT, of Flat River, spent Christmas day and Sunday with relatives and others.

D. I. BLOOM spent Christmas in St. Louis with his family.  One of his sons returned to
spend a week with his father.

Including in his Christmas program a trip to Vandalia, Ill., A. B. DEREMIAH visited
there with his wife and friends.

Rev. C. L. DORRIS went to St. Louis Friday to meet his sister, Miss Valle DORRIS, with whom he returned Saturday.  Miss DORRIS, who teaches in Nashville, Tenn., will visit here this week.

Messrs. George and Horace TAYLOR, of DeSoto, were at home Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. TAYLOR.

Celebrating their wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. CLAY spent Christmas day with relatives in Bonne Terre.

Ray RHODES, who has been attending school in Illinois, is visiting here this week at
the home of Ross BLAKE. 

The volume of Christmas business in Leadwood this year has been very large.  The new
firm of B. A. REA Drug and Optical Company reports a decidedly good business, while
long established merchants have had very heavy sales.

Mr. POSTON reports that the post office business has been much larger than ever before.

In celebrating the Yuletide season Mr. and Mrs. A. O. McMULLEN entertained the following relatives and friends:  Mrs. McMULLEN's mother, Mrs. McPIKE, her aunt, Miss MOLLINEAUX, and sister, Miss May McPIKE, of St. Louis; Mr. and Mrs. F. J. HEATON and son, Earl, of Paragould, Ark., and Mr. and Mrs. DIXON, of Elvins.

Bert STAPP was in St. Louis Monday.

Mrs. J. F. DENNIS and her grandson, Paul JOHNSTON, are on the sick list this week.
