RIVERMINES

The town of Rivermines is the result of the mining interests of the Doe Run Lead Company. This Company sank several shafts here and in time a mill was placed nearby, replacing the one which had been at Doe Run. Rivermines is located between Elvins and Flat River. It had a population in 1930 of 721.
