MINER KILLED AT MITCHELL

Henry Haman, a miner at Mitchell shaft, was found dead after work hours Wednesday afternoon, July 1. He was working day shift and near time to close he separated from his partners to watch a hole set to fire. After 3 o'clock they went to hunt him and found him dead, presumably caused by poisonous gases. The funeral was held Friday afternoon and the remains buried in Germany Cemetery.

He leaves a wife and four children of Mitchell, his parents at Valles Mines, and other relatives.

He was a member of the A.O.U.W. lodge.
