ST. JOSEPH LEAD CO. RETIREE Homer F. McKinney of 112 Hampton, Elvins retired from the St. Joseph Lead Co. January 1 of this year. He was employed by St. Joe intermittently from 1919 to 1925, employed by the Bonne Terre Farming and Cattle Co., in 1938 and worked until 1940. He was reemployed by St. Joe in 1942 and continued to retirement. In the course of his employment, Mr. McKinney worked as a laborer, crusher man and carpenter in the milling department; as a loader in the mining department; as a painter for the Bonne Terre Farming and Cattle Co.; as a carpenter and painter in the shops department and as a laborer in the general department. He was married to Jetta Rickard in 1923 and they have one daughter, Helen, Mrs. Damon Black of East Bonne Terre and two sons, LeRoy of Elvins and Harold of Detroit, Mich. They also have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. and Mrs. McKinney attend the Methodist Church in Elvins. Mr. McKinney plans to do some fishing and hunting; also some contract painting.
