WILLIAM RUNDEL DIES OF INJURIES SUSTAINED LAST JULY

   Wm. Rundel, who made his home on a farm at Davis Crossing, but who had been employed at No. 6 mine of the Desloge Consolidated Lead Co., died Thursday morning, February 14, at Bonne Terre hospital of injuries received in a mine accident in July of last year. His back was broken in this accident and his lower limbs were paralyzed. He was placed in the hospital immediately after his injury, where he remained until the time of his death. He was 45 years of age.

    The body was taken to the Boyer undertaking establishment in Desloge and prepared for burial, after which it was taken to the Rundel home. The funeral service was held at the home Saturday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. J. C. McDaniel, pastor of the Desloge Methodist church. The remains were interred at Woodlawn cemetery.

    Wm. Rundel was united in marriage November 17, 1899 to Miss Cassy Laird, who survives him. To this union 11 children were born, 9 of whom survive. All these children are at home except one who is married. The eldest at home, a daughter of 18 years, has been totally blind from birth.
