COLLECTION OF ARTICLES CONTRIBUTED BY WANDA COLE
The following collection of newspaper articles was contributed by Wanda Cole. Some of these articles were originally published in the Desloge Sun newspaper and were later reprinted in the Lead Belt News in a "reminiscent" issue.
This article deals with a dreadful train wreck which occurred in 1922 at Sulphur Springs in which 34 people were killed and 150 injured.
This collection includes a series of misc. articles, some of which were originally published in 1922 in the Desloge Sun. Also included in this collection is an article concerning the Farmington Trolley making its last run which was published in the Lead Belt News on Nov. 14, 1947, an article about the Crawley Branch Railroad Track being removed, and an article concerning a Cole family reunion.
This collection includes article originally published in Desloge Sun newspaper in April of 1922 concerning great damage done by storm which struck the local area.
This is Section "D" of the "Victory In Europe" edition of the Lead Belt News published May 18, 1945, which listed various local men who served in World War II.
